bah...

It's 3:29 am. I should be writing a paper. I should be studying for a math test(boo numbers!). I should be sleeping so I'll be ready for my audition tomorrow. I should be taking a latin test. But no. I posting. Because I can't sleep. And because I need to talk about The Vagina Monologues!

*Let it be known that this will be a very biased review, considering I was in the show*
Opening night was wonderful. The narrators kicked the show off with a bang, and everyone was on fire. The only down side was the super creepy old man in the second row that made REALLY awkward sounds during the entire show. Thursday was good, but it seemed as though everyone was off(or at the very least I was off, because I wasn't feeling it, and therefore I am projecting my feelings onto the rest of the show). It might have been because the audience was so reserved and not as responsive as the night before. The last night, however, was a blast! Everyone had amazing energy, the audience was really involved, and the cast just had fun! we were laughing and carrying on with everyone else. Cast pictures were hysterical (although I'm not sure if I should post them here, lol) and we "Little Sally Walker"-ed til our hearts' content. All in all, a wonderful 3-night run.

Tomorrow (or later today, depending on how you look at it) I'm auditioning for the regional premiere of RENT, and I'm extremely nervous. This is the first regional production I've ever auditioned for and the first musical since my senior year in high school(2 years ago). I'm singing "Mama Who Bore Me" from Spring Awakening. I've been practicing so much, and everyone has been telling me I'm going to rock, but at the same time (because I'm my own worst critic/extremely self- conscious) I'm not sure if they're saying that because it's true or just to get me to shut up. I guess I'll find out soon enough, though.

Oh well. Onwards and upwards.
